October 2000 - Present Software Developer Limited Milton Keynes
1st Line Support & Sales and Marketing Assistant

  • Provide 1st Line Technical support for users
  • Involved day-to-day administration of MS NT4 and Small Business Server, MS Exchange, IIS, SQL Server 7.
  • Duties included: resolving proxy errors on the IIS, implementing new user accounts for server and Exchange, daily backup via DAT.
  • New system/workstation installs, including systems builds (H/W) and installation and configuration of software.
  • User application support on: MS Windows ’98, word, Excel and Access ’97.
  • Position also involved administration and development of web-sites, including the use of HTML and some ASP programming with VB Script and SQL databases.
  • Sales and Marketing duties included development of e-mail marketing campaigns and account management duties.

June 1999 – April 2000 The Merchants Group - SAP Milton Keynes
Telebusiness Communicator

  • Undertook 1 week intensive product and concept training at SAP’s UK Headquarters in Middlesex
  • First phase of project was to successfully secure SAP Marketing contract for The Merchants Group, beating Merchants’ direct competitor: Bran.
  • Main duties: telesales activity to various markets and to board level decision-makers, to qualify and pass leads to SAP VARS.
  • Second phase of project included support on various SAP direct marketing campaigns & support of an inbound marketing hotline, dealing with queries & technical support on SAP’s R3 business management software.

April 1998 – May 1999 Gauntlet Entertainment Limited Milton Keynes
Account Manager

  • Account Manager for 200+ clients, including Hamleys of London and several large sub-distribution companies such as; Games World Ireland and Telstar Leisure.
  • Main duties consisted of telesales activities to these clients in relation to a 200+ title back catalogue of game, educational and entertainment software across several formats, including; PC, PSX and Dreamcast.
  • Represented company at various trade shows, including; ECTS ’99, conducted numerous client meetings to discuss new releases and trading agreements.
  • Also participated in structured product testing for new releases.

September 1997 – April 1998 Ingram Micro Milton Keynes
Marcoms Professional

  • Worked as part of a team to carry out a number of different marketing campaigns to identify key problem areas of Ingram Micro’s marketing strategy and also highlight key business areas to generate new revenue.
  • Also formed part of a Hewlett Packard help desk, dealing with technical queries regarding HP printers, scanners, desktop systems and peripherals, as well as taking orders.
  • Designed call-out script for ‘Apple Macintosh’ campaign.
